Greg is a writer, producer, teacher and creative consultant who helps other writers write.

He is a screenwriter, journalist, writing coach, story therapist and creative consultant who has worked in TV, film, print, live theater and clubs, radio, audio, video and online/new media.

He’s the author of “How To Be A Writer Who Writes” and “Miller’s Compendium of Timeless Tools for the Modern Writer” and has written for Writer’s Digest, Premiere, LA Weekly, Entertainment Weekly and other periodicals.

He has pitched, sold, written and produced feature film and tv projects for Fox, Disney, Dino De Lautrentiis, Oxygen, MTV and Comedy Central.

As a teacher and writing coach, he has helped NY Times best-selling authors, network TV showrunners, studio screenwriters and absolute beginners.

He has taught for 20 years in private workshops and at UCLA Extension, LA Times Festival of Books, LA Gay & Lesbian Center, Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, Humber College, Improv Olympics, the Skirball Center, Media Bistro, Teen Canteen, PushPush Theater, NY Institute of Technology and Story Expo, and has a perfect “10” rating in all categories on Allexperts.com.

Greg was the co-creator and founding producer of Un-Cabaret, LA’s seminal alternative standup comedy show. He Executive Produced Un-Cabaret for Comedy Central on TV, for Sirius Satellite Radio, Comedy World Radio, on the award-winning uncabaret.com website and several critically-acclaimed audio CDs for his own indie UC Records.

Greg produced and programmed Un-Cabaret with a who’s who of progressive comedy talent including Julia Sweeney, Margaret Cho, Richard Larry Charles, Lewis, Carrie Fisher, Kevin Nealon, Laura Kightlinger, Jerry Stahl, Winnie Holzman, Michael Patrick King, Merrill Markoe, Jeff Garlin, Sherri Shepherd, Taylor Negron, Patton Oswalt, Jack Black, Bill Maher, Jon Stewart, Judd Apatow and many others at venues including the Luna Park, HBO Workspace, Getty Center, Lollapalooza, the Great American Music Hall, Friars Club, Highways, the Knitting Factory NY and LA.

He co-created, programmed and produced “The Other Network“, a floating festival of the best un-aired TV pilots ever made, introduced by their creators (including Judd Apatow, Robert Smigel, Ben Stiller, Conan O’Brien, Bob Odenkirk, Darren Star, Seth McFarlane, others) and “Say the Word”, an ongoing series of reading events featuring first-person non-fiction from top comedy writers including Bruce Wagner, George Meyer, Merrill Markoe, Cindy Chupack, Dimetri Martin, Alan Zweibel, Teri Garr, others in an ongoing series at the Skirball Center, Warhol Museum, Joe’s Pub, Knitting Factory LA & NY, the Players Club. He also produced “The Other Network Writers’ Room“, an educational audio series.He is on the Programming Committee and Board of Directors of IWOSC (Independent Writers of Southern California) and is available as a writing coach and consultant.
