IWOSC writers’ group summer party

We enjoyed an afternoon/evening in the fresh ocean air as we mingled in the garden of MaGriffe, across from the Korean Friendship Bell.

Why? Because you never know what great ideas will come from a social conversation with a fellow creative, what tips you’ll glean, what inspiration you’ll find — but that good stuff always comes from such downtime and relaxing conversations.

Socializing and conversation was the call of the day.

Our new President, Gary Young, presented out-going President Flo Selfman with a few nice gifts and we all had some good smiles and laughs. Flo gave a great shout out to all the people who have done so much for IWOSC over the years.

The Menu — Italian Food!
Food is buffet style and includes chicken, vegetarian, gluten-free, and accommodations for sensitive stomachs.

Each admission includes two glasses of wine as well. There will also be non-alcoholic beverages.

Free! Yes, there is plenty of free parking on the street right there.

About MaGriffe and Mike Caccavalla

Mike Caccavalla and his Italian cuisine is well known to the people San Pedro. Mike is the official chef for Shakespeare By The Sea. He also did Music by the Sea for the past 20 years. Mike also caters events on the U.S.S. Iowa and other civic venues.

MaGriffe is a casual garden area where we can enjoy Mike’s excellent food or sit and mingle under the shade of plenty of large umbrellas and enjoy the fresh ocean air.
